037.365: ashes lead to prayer

This is my 037.365 photo. It is Ash Wednesday which begins the season of fasting and prayer, Lent. Tonight we went to Church to receive this sacramental: blessed ashes marked on the forehead in the form of a cross. It's a symbolism of penance, that we ought to repent of our sins. I told Madeline the beauty of the Lenten season is that we have so many reminders, be it the ash on our forehead, the belly ache from fasting, the doing without, all helps us turn towards God our Father, to repent, give thanks and do His will. I've already been doing a lot more praying and so has Madeline.
