121.365-127.365: projects

This is my 121.365 daily photo. Sorry for the delay in posting my daily photos, I've been swamped with house projects. This being one of them...newborn shadow box frames of my kids newborn outfits.
I love how they turned out!

This is my 122.365 daily photo. Over a period of a couple days Madeline released her butterflies from their live butterfly garden. Here's the first one released!

This is my 123.365 daily photo. I love the expression on Madeline's face.

This is my 124.365 daily photo. Another project I took on was sewing two baby girl blankets for a dear friend who is expecting twin girls. My mom is attending the shower in California this weekend so I had to finish them and ship them to her.

This is my 125.365 daily photo. These scissors are so special. We inherited Stephen's great-grandmothers sewing table from Stephen's parents. We drove it over from CA to TX last summer. The contents inside the drawers were still there including these very sharp Gingher scissors in their original box. I feel so lucky to be using these.

This is my 126.365 daily photo. I really enjoy sewing and creating something personal and one of a kind. I wish I had more time to sew.

This is my 127.365 daily photo. Another project I gave myself was to clean and organize our junk cabinet in the kitchen. Everything from medicine, to party balloons, to screwdrivers were stuffed into this cabinet. So I spent $8 at the Dollar Tree getting these baskets and made my own labels for them. Feels so good to have it organized!

113.365: Meet Brownie

This is my 113.365 daily photo. Meet Madeline's butterfly, Brownie. :) I was able to stick my camera inside the Live Butterfly Garden and capture this close up. All 3 of Madeline's butterflies, Brownie, Rusty and Fruity are doing well fluttering around and drinking their sugar water. But Madeline wants to release them soon. We may have to order more caterpillars, it was so neat watching them go through their stages to turn into beautiful butterflies. I'll have to capture a special shot when we release them.

107.365: Butterfly Alive!

This is my 107.365 daily photo. One of Madeline's butterflies hatched! Okay so I don't think hatched is the correct term. But one of her 3 caterpillars came out of it's pupa today. It was only a few days ago I shared a daily photo of the pupa in the live butterfly garden. I need to pick up some flowers tomorrow to put it's sugar water food on. Can't wait to see what the other 2 will look like.

101.365-104.365: Movement

This is my 101.365 daily photo. I loved the movement captured in this shot and how the girl in red is almost in focus. These roller derby girls move fast!

This is my 102.365 daily photo. One perk about working at my job, free art to decorate our home! This piece is by one of our local Austin artists, he's a fav of mine. The title is, "Where is the Architect?". As a former Architecture and Art major - I just loved everything about this painting!

This is my 103.365 daily photo. Live Butterfly Garden! Madeline bought this with her Easter money from Nana and Poppi. We received the baby caterpillars almost 2 weeks ago. They ate and grew double in size, then they cocooned themselves and now we are waiting for them to turn into butterflies! You can see 2 of them on the left of the net.

This is my 104.365 daily photo. Today was the last day of Religious Ed CCD classes for the school year at our church. I wanted to pick up some special gifts for my students as well as Madeline's teachers. I found a great Catholic Arts & Gifts store in Austin! And I got these beautiful prayer cards and metal crucifix pendants for my students. I put them in fun goody bags to wish them farewell.
