Here in central Texas everything goes dormant in the winter. Our grass turns brown. Flowers and leaves are gone. So I just love it when Spring arrives. Everything has started to bloom over the last few weeks. And today we had some Spring showers. I wanted to capture our green grass coming up, the flowers around my tree base (which I thought were goners) bloom, and our oak trees sprouting new leaves! I love how you can see the rain drops on some of them.

This is my 046.365 photo. Eleven posts back I shared an alternate view of this new hibiscus plant. But today's theme is, "Green is also symbolically the color for newness, new beginnings, spring and life.  Today I want you to find the green..".I chose this shot to show spring and life because of the deep greens in the hibiscus plant, and the greens you see sprouting in the background on are dormant grass. I also love how Penny Lane is laying in the grass too!
