067.365: Eggs

This is my 067.365 photo. Aren't these just adorable!? Today is Madeline's last day of religious ed class before the 2 week break for Easter. So I got her 2 Catechist teachers these mini Spring plants, I also picked one up for the Catechist I aide with. They all do such an awesome and patient job teaching all the children about our Faith, I wanted to give them something special that would put a smile on their faces. The yellow ones remind me of pineapples. They are just too cute, I may have to go back to the store and pick one up for our home.

joy of luck: day 04: favorite material things

This is my 048.365 photo. Today's theme is, "find seven materials things that you LOVE.  What are they?  Capture these with your lens." We have an entire curio cabinet filled with these precious and beautiful handmade eggs. And the eggs are all real bird eggs, in different sizes from different types of birds. These are all gifts from my husband's parents. They have their own collection, and they sort of started a tradition with gifting us with these - so now we have our own collection. Each one of them is unique and handmade with such detail by a family friend. We probably have 20-30 in our collection but I definitely have my favorite 7, these 2 pictured are on that list. The one in the background is our wedding egg, it's shaped as a carriage with a wedding couple dancing inside and the writing on the inside of the carriage door is taken from our wedding invitations. The egg front and center was for when our daughter was baptized.
